Filipeni, a plantation of noble Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties was established in 2004.This area is very favorable for the development of red varieties, due to northeast exposure of slopes and thanks to the very fertile soil. These two factors contribute decisively to accumulation of the optimal amount of sugars, perfect development of flavors and balancing of the acidity in grapes.
